“We took the Punta Cana Higuey City Tour with and AMAZING guide EDWIN. The only day we had time to go was on a Sunday and Edwin stepped up on his day off with his family to make it happen. This was much more than a city tour. After we toured the city narrated by lots of interesting history and info from Edwin, we visited the historic Basilica of Higuey. It was beautiful. From there we went into the country to a small family owned chocolate and coffee plantation. The family knew Edwin and invited us into their modest, but well kept home, then out back to their wood fired kitchen. We then tasted fresh coffee and ground a little chocolate. We bought some coffee and headed to another little town where we toured a small cigar factory We lesrned all about how the tobavco is grown and turned into cigars. They helped us each roll our own cigar. Afterwards we enjoyed a local beer it the little town and headed back to our resort while enjoying conversation with Edwin on all types of topics. This tour was the highlight of our trip. We talked that evening about what a great guy Edwin was and what a great neighbor he'd be. Lol. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED ON THIS TRIP. YOU'LL LOVE IT. We recommend EDWIN, but if he isn't available, this is a family operation and I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.”

“This excursion was excellent and a great way to experience what the Dominican Republic culture is. Edwin drove us out into the country and explained so much about the DR as we were going. We stopped at a small family coffee and chocolate farm where we got to sample various things, including cocoa fruit straight from the trees! He took care of us and made sure the mosquitos didn't eat us up. From there, we headed into the city of Higuey to play in the traffic jungle... lol. Edwin was fun to talk to and has a lot of information to share. We didn't go to the cigar place or stop at a market in the city (it was too crazy and we didn't want to get out of the car!). The church was breathtaking. Highly recommend this excursion if you want to get away from the resort and see the real DR! Thank you, Edwin! From your favorite Human's ”

“An amazing experience! We upgraded to a private tour, which was more flexible and personalized. Our guide, Silverio, not only helped us complete the planned activities but also introduced us to a lot of local culture and traditions. For lunch, we dined at a local Dominican restaurant, and the oxtail and codfish were unexpectedly delicious. The cigar factory was a favorite for both the kids and me—we got to make our own handmade cigar and even bring it home for free. If there’s an option to visit a coffee factory or a chocolate factory in the future, where kids can make their own chocolate, that would be absolutely fantastic. Huge thanks to our guide—five stars all the way!”

“We took our tour with Edwin through Top Punta Cana Tours. There was not enough people for a full tour, so we were able to reschedule for a private tour. Edwin was very responsive over the phone, and he picked up right on time. He was a great host. He gave us a lot of good information about the Dominican culture, and he answered all of our questions. We were able to see all the sites, and we didn’t feel rushed. At the end, we took us to an authentic Dominican restaurant instead of the cigar factory per our request. We would definitely book with him again. ”
