“My 2 friends and I booked this excursion through TripAdvisor prior to coming to Punta Cana, DR. The company, GY Excursiones Tours confirmed the reservation. The day prior, we were staying at a family member’s apartment, so I tried to call them to change the pickup location. They didn’t answer, so I sent them a message on Tripadvisor. Still no response. So the day of the excursion, we get an Uber to the pickup location. We get there around 9:40am, when the confirmation and booking email I received said 10:00am start time (no specific pickup time listed). We wait until 10:15am, no one shows up. Tried calling them about 20 times, WhatsApp message them, still no response. At 10:30am, I finally called TripAdvisor and asked for a refund.”

“DO NOT BOOK! We attempted to contact the tour company multiple times over multiple days (including a contact from our hotel concierge) and received no response. Emails, through Trip Advisor app, phones calls went straight to voicemail at all times of day. This is a scam! We entered our hotel information as requested at checkout and asked for a pickup from our hotel. We received no contact. Attempted to contact before our trip and no reply. We reached out again the day before to confirm either if they would pick us up at the hotel or we needed to go to a different pickup spot and again went straight voicemail and no reply to our message via the app. I am positive this company used to exist but no longer offers tours and just takes the money. We have been unable to get our money back because Trip Advisor is saying we didn’t show up at a pickup spot.”
