Horseback Riding to Maimon River from Punta Cana

Leaving nothing but a trail of hoof prints behind you, you’ll trot, canter and gallop your way through forest and palm-fringed beaches on this horseback ride. You’ll have the chance to experience the Dominican Republic’s landscape exactly the way nature intended. From the hotel, you’ll soon arrive at a traditional ranch where you’ll be given all the gear you need and paired up with a horse. Then, into the stirrups and up onto the saddle, you’ll set off through untouched countryside with only peace and tranquillity around you. You’ll take the reins through forest trails, darting in and out of shaded spots and looking out for wildlife as we go, until we arrive at the mouth of the River Maimon – a protected area. You’ll then canter past sugar-white beaches before reaching the ranch once again.

“After miscommunication and misunderstanding the employee Kenny Padua start using profanity and pointing finger in my personal space. He needs another job if he doesn’t know how to speak to customers when he’s frustrated, things could have went another route”

“This was an amazing experience. They picked us up on time they just come up and say your name. The drive from our resort was about 40 mins. There is a ranch with lots of horses u get there they give u a horse and you go. Oscar was our guide he was amazing!!!! The horses were sweet also and they were very well trained. This was my second time ever riding horses but it was nice. U get to take pictures on the beach and the river. U also get to go a little faster instead of walking on the beach. Defiantly wear long pants but a t shirt is fine. I would also say closed toe shoes. Other than that I really enjoyed it. They are sweet people and I had a great time.”

“Loved the horseback ride, well worth the money and more than we expected. People there were very nice and worth spending a few extra minutes there chatting with them and looking around at the farm at the other animals. Horses were very tame and they control them very well. I had only been on horse one other time 20+ years ago and my husband is an experienced rider, matched both of us well. Amazing experience to ride on the beach (very romantic) and our guide cut us down a coconut to drink on the way. They have a photographer come and take pictures on the beach, bring extra money with you and you can get copy of them all on a USB, they also have a nice gift shop there with all kinds of things, and bring a few dollars for the driver, guides and others on the farm. We will definitely go on this again next time we visit Punta Cana (maybe we'll go twice next time)!”

“They took amazing pictures of the family. They were very nice and comforting especially with my kids, it was their first time riding horse and I couldn’t be happier with our family experience. They were very attentive and even provided bug repellent at the beginning and throughout the tour. Amazing! Would definitely do it again! ”
