“Tour operator called and kept pressuring us to upgrade the tour we booked. We booked a small group and he tried to get me to upgrade to a private (couples) tour. Also said the time we originally booked was no longer available and if we would have to go at 2:00 instead of 12:30 because the time slot we booked was full. He then told me it would be unsafe to ride the horses in a group because too many horses in a group can kick. We ended canceling. I was not paying an extra $110 to upgrade for something I already paid for and having the time changed at the last minute because the operator over booked Viator was great. I sent them all the information and sent them the screenshots of the messages between myself and the tour company and got my money refunded”
“Our one disappointment: very skinny horses, which can be distressing to an experienced rider. The guide was fun and did it all in his slides. Beach was beautiful— but if we did it again we would’ve found healthier-looking horses without rain rot.”
“We had a fabulous riding experience! The communication via WhatsApp was super helpful and they are very responsive. The ride is an hour long, half on beaches and half through a shaded trail - nice and scenic. I am an experienced rider and wanted to gallop a few times, and was able to. The horses seem well cared for; after my tour they were taken back to the farm and swapped out for the next tour. Our guide, Miguel, was great! Overall a perfect experience -- exactly what I was looking for!”
