“Gold trip was a no show after I was asked to reschedule. I rescheduled and again no show, I put a request for a refund and that was denied since they rescheduled again for the 17th and once again a no show. I contacted the person on WhatsApp and was told a refund would be issued but Viator said the company denied the refund due to it being rescheduled for 17th. It’s the 17th and still a no show, was told since the refund was already denied that it will not be changed and no refund issued. So gold trip keeps the money and viator go’s off what they say. Even me showing them messages from the driver on the WhatsApp. Very disappointed with this whole situation. I will not recommend gold trip or viator. Viator lost me as a customer but I’m sure one won’t matter but keep doing business like this and it will hurt your business in the end. Zero stars all around ”
“0/5. They contacted me by WhatsApp at 6:00 to say pick up was 7:40, for a 9:00 start. I was ready at 7:30. by 8:00 no show, I sent message. This was ignored. I then tried to call. No answer. By 8:30 still no show. Another message ignored, another phone call ignored. 9.00 send email through TripAdvisor App. 9.05 call TripAdvisor. Operator calls tour operator. No answer. Operator emails Tour operator, 24 hours later still no response. Avoid.”
“We took this tour on a Sunday morning, and it was great, very light traffic and a relaxed start to the day. The tour took us outside the busy tourist areas, which we really appreciated. We got to see beautiful nature, visit a plantation, and taste different fruits that had been picked the very same day. The house tour was excellent; it was amazing to see how people live in the rural area. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and both the guide and the driver were extremely friendly and welcoming. The van was very comfortable, which made the experience even better. We truly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it.”
“We really enjoyed the City Tour, our tour guide was excellent, he was very informative and wanted to make sure we got to experience everything the tour offered. Our first stop was to an old Dominican home where we learned about turning coffee beans into coffee. This part of the tour could have been shortened, although it was very interesting to see the process, it was to long and the mosquitoes were terrible. We enjoyed the stop at the school and loved the hugs we got from the children. The city market was an experience too.”
“Both the guide and driver were very nice and helpful, the tour was diverse and we enjoyed seeing both the beach and the mountains. Enjoyed delicious lunch in a traditional house and all the rum, chocolate and fruit tasting.”
